The Red Sox will look to avoid elimination when they face the Yankees in Game 2 of their playoff series on Wednesday night.
New York rolled to a 9-0 victory in Game 1 behind a terrific outing from starting pitcher Cam Schlittler, who threw 6 1/3 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts. Boston will need to deliver a much better offensive performance in Game 2 after producing just three hits in the opener.
