The iPad Pro is hardly a porker, but hold one up alongside the new Huawei MatePad Pro Max and Apple’s fanciest tablet starts to look a little podgy.
At 4.7mm thick (not including the camera bump) and weighing just 499g the MatePad Pro Max is thinner and lighter than Apple’s M5-powered rectangle but still comes with a slightly larger OLED screen (albeit only by 0.2in).
That display is squeezed between skinny 3.5mm bezels and Huawei hasn’t scrimped on the pixels, with a resolution of 3000×2000 and 1600 nits of brightness, so outdoor use shouldn’t be a problem, particularly if you opt for the one with the PaperMatte coating, which stops it turning into a mirror when the sun comes out.
