A free library event featuring a beloved author is drawing 10,000 people to Grand Rapids next week.
No one is more surprised by that than the author herself, Kristin Hannah.
“I’m a girl who sits in sweats in a small room and imagines other worlds,” said Hannah by phone from her home in Seattle this week. “This is not the kind of event that I ever even imagined that, you know, could exist. For a writer, any writer.”
