Three days. Seven rounds. San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch will have his hands full over the next few days with the 2026 NFL Draft here.
The draft begins on Thursday, April 23 and ends on Saturday, April 25 in Pittsburgh.
Lynch and Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan will look to add fresh prospects to their squad that best compliment their team and will put them in position to make a run at the Super Bowl. The players they bring in they hope are “ready now,” prepared to contribute in the Bay.
The 49ers have six total picks in the draft: Nos. 27, 58, 127, 133, 138 and 139.
Expect the Niners to go after the best player available, however positions they particularly need include edge, safety and offensive line.
