JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – An extreme heat warning is in effect through 9 p.m. Tuesday as summer sports practices get underway across the region. With the heat index reaching 103 degrees, an emergency room physician is urging parents to take precautions before sending children outside.
Dr. Randy McComb, a Piggott Hospital emergency room physician, said hydration and supervision are the first priorities.
