Have you ever heard the phrase that you can manipulate your dreams? This is known as lucid dreaming, an experience in which people are aware that they are dreaming while it is happening.

This regularly allows them to control the narrative, the environment, and the actions within the dream, such as flying or changing settings. It is an intermediate state between deep sleep and wakefulness.

Now, the International Sleep Foundation gives us some recommendations for taking control. Around 55 percent of people have realized they were dreaming in the middle of a dream.

When people have lucid dreams, they can sometimes control what happens, so they do things they wish they could do in real life, such as flying through the air like a superhero, spending time with a deceased loved one, or traveling around the world.
