Record-breaking heat will take over the East Coast this week as a Bermuda High remains over the western Atlantic. Severe weather will impact the Plains to start off the week.
A severe weather and flash flood threat is in store for the Plains to start the week. Extreme fire weather conditions are expected across the Southern High Plains today. An early-season heat wave will challenge record highs across the East.
Severe Weather
A combination of a deep upper level trough over the Western US will interacr with a stationary front across the middle of the country and a Bermuda High over the western Atlantic will give way for an active severe weather day across the East-Central Plains. The greatest threat of severe weather will be in northern Kansas into southern Minnesota.
