This phenomenon, scientifically known as Rayleigh scattering, is responsible for the sky changing color depending on the position of the Sun relative to the horizon.
During midday, when the Sun is at its highest point, light passes through the atmosphere almost vertically. On this short path, shorter and more energetic wavelengths, such as blue and violet, scatter more easily, bathing the sky in that characteristic blue color. At that moment, warm tones are barely noticeable because the light has fewer obstacles to overcome before reaching our eyes.
