Bombardier’s Global 8000 business jet has recorded its first speed milestone after flying from Montreal, Canada, to Nice, France, in just over six hours, the company announced on June 5.
The aircraft was carrying passengers to the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix when it completed the transatlantic mission.
Bombardier said the flight demonstrated the performance capabilities of its ultra-long-range business jet, which has a top speed of Mach 0.95 and a range of 8,000 nautical miles.
The Global 8000 is being positioned by Bombardier as its flagship business jet, combining long-range performance, high cruising speed, and a cabin designed for reduced fatigue on intercontinental flights.
