A Dallas County polling place offered at least one first-time voter a smooth introduction to the election process during Iowa’s primary election on Tuesday.Arianna Ahmeti, who had just turned 18, said she was nervous heading into her first election but viewed the moment as the start of a lifetime of civic participation. “It’s just a new experience,” she said. “And I get to partake in issues in the world now that are meaningful in a different way.”Ahmeti voted in Dallas County, where a relatively new iPad check-in system appeared to help streamline the process.
