After weeks of spotty rainfall and growing drought concerns across parts of the state, the atmosphere is becoming much more typical for late May and early June. Tropical moisture is surging back into Florida, daily thunderstorms are becoming more common, and the overall pattern suggests rain chances could continue increasing well into next week.
Tropical Moisture Is Fueling the Change
The primary driver behind the unsettled pattern is a persistent flow of tropical moisture streaming northward into Florida around the western edge of the Bermuda High.
